| There is a service between the Methodists and the Catholics this Friday at Holy Rosary at 7pm. It would be cool to have a ton of people show up there.
Below is an excerpt from a talk given by Father Lombardi in Rome at the beginning of this week of Christian Unity VATICAN CITY, JAN. 20, 2008 (Zenit.org).- In these 100 years, he explained, "the ecumenical movement has followed a long path, but its innermost soul always remains prayer -- because the unity of Christians can only be a gift of God, to be asked for with constancy and insistence." "Prayer changes our mentality and it helps Christians to consider the other brothers, sons of the same Father. Prayer educates and accompanies, proposes and transmits the truth, the light, the life, the love that is Christ, Savior of humanity." "Observing the week in January has become a common practice of all the Christian confessions," he added, "and it is of great importance for reconciliation, brotherhood and unity among Christians, realizing the prayer of Jesus: 'that all be one.'" Father Lombardi said the theme "makes it clear that the life of the Christian community is really exultant and prospers only through a life of prayer, which contributes to its spiritual, moral, social and cultural growth, and constructs bridges of love, of peace and of hope." "A deeper and more true union with God," he added, "is the surest way to rediscover and recreate union among all the believers in Christ."
| the other mood fitting song
Just watch the fireworks
"here you can be anything anything that scares i think that scares you here, i've been here before but only by myself, myself
i promised i'd see it again i promised i'd see this with you now (Repeat)
what giving up gives you and where giving up takes you i've had and i've been here in center frame here, there's only air and just enough space to fit
i promised i'd see it again i promised i'd see this with you now (Repeat)
i said, said, say it out loud over and over i said, said, say it out loud but what do i know? i said, said, say it out loud over and over i said, said, say it out loud over and over i said, said, say it out loud but it did not help i'll stop now just enough so i can hear you i stay up as late as it takes
i promised i'd see it again i promised i'd see this with you now (Repeat)
i said, said, say it out loud over and over i said, said, say it out loud but what do i know? i'll stop now just enough so i can hear you i stay up as long as it takes
i stay up as long as it takes
i stay up as late as it takes i stay up as long as it takes as long as it takes as long as it takes as long as it takes i stay up as late as it takes as long, it takes "
| I like this song. Its off the first anberlin album, I dont even think I have a situation now to relate to it, but its very well done.
"Come and go now as you please Your actions write the melodies To the songs that we sing And you just sing
And I finally found that life goes on without you And my world still turns when you're not around
Is this the way you want it? Is this the way it has to be? Sitting here beside you But my heart's lost in New Orleans Dreams come clever Hearts now severed Difference of forever And I am lost there
Come and go now as you please Your actions write the melodies To the songs that we sing And you just sing along out loud"
| Granted this artice is from the mid 90's, its quite amazing that he statistically predicts that 1/2 of women living in the US will have an abortion. It just makes me want to cry. Maybe participating in the Pro-Life march will be good for me.
